Ingredients
2 cup rice flour
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 pinch asafoetida
2 cup Glanola's Cold Pressed Groundnut oil
1 cup roasted, powdered chana dal
2 teaspoon red chilli powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1 Combine the flour
To prepare this snack recipe, grind the roasted chana dal first to a fine powder. Once done, take a large bowl and combine together rice flour and roasted chana dal powder.
Step 2 Add spices and knead the dough
Mix them well and then add cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon hot oil along with salt in the rice and chana mixture. Mix all the ingredients with a little water and knead the dough well.
Step 3 Fry the chakli
Put the dough into a chakli maker, press it on a plate. Heat oil in a kadhai over medium flame and when the oil is hot enough, gently drop chakli into the hot oil. Fry the chakli on medium flame from both sides until it turns golden brown. Fry more such chaklis and serve once they cool down with tea or coffee.
